Industrial systems redistribute physical labor. Information systems redistribute information. AI systems redistribute cognitive labor. Every redistribution creates an inevitable architectural responsibility.
Someone must determine:
- what moves,
- what stays,
- what must never move,
- how responsibility moves,
- who remains accountable,
- and how human agency expands through the transfer.
The architecture of cognitive labor will become one of the defining infrastructures of the AI era. The systems we build today will determine not only what AI can carry, but what humanity continues to carry for itself.
